Dr. Faust (M.D., M.Ph., M.A.) is a medical ethicist, Past President of the American College of Preventive Medicine, and author of the book Prevention vs. Treatment: What's the Right Balance? He is a member of the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities and the Society of Jewish Ethics, as well as a clinical associate professor at the University of New Mexico and a member of the Christus St. Vincent Ethics Committee.

Healthcare-providers (HCPs) have professional and ethical standards of conduct that guide loyalties, primarily to patients and the state.
